For all the newbies to the library, first of all, SUBSCRIBE!!!
Second, on to why we've all gathered here in the first place: "Infinite"...
What exactly is Infinite? As Webster's Dictionary would have one to believe, it's basically everything. Oddly enough, in my life, in this world, that's a very true/real assessment.
Infinite is everything.
If you leave the blog for a moment and scroll all the way down to the end of the library, you should see "COMING SOON!!!". What you may not know (Seeing as how you're new here) is that it has been that way since the library first opened its doors almost 2yrs ago. (OMC… Has it really been that long?! That's wild!!!) Today I think I'm ready to explain why.
You see, in one of my first blogs, I explained that AOC got its start from two events/people in my life. One inspired the creation of Brie. The other, and coincidently the inspiration behind Infinite, was Jan.
Basically, before there was Hajimari, there was Infinite. How? Why? Allow me to explain…
Whereas Hajimari is rooted in our journey to become friends again, Infinite was written two days after our fall out. To date, outside of poetry, it is the fastest thing I've ever written, clocking in at one hour. Despite the time that has ambled by, (Absence makes the heart grow fonder my ass!) I still remember the headspace I was in when I sat down that night. I wasn't even thinking about writing. It just happened! Next thing I knew, there were a few sentences and from that, paragraphs and from there, Infinite was born. So why hasn't Infinite ever seen the light of day?
*sighs* Again, more explaining…
First of all, as of this post, there are only four, rare collector's items in the world (Read as: PEOPLE) who have ever seen/read it. Those selected four are the ones I'm officially calling "The Chosen Few". I've almost posted it sooooooo many times, but every time it comes up, I freeze. It's like, I keep telling myself I'm ready, but when it comes to actually posting it, I immediately realize I'm not. I still have residual issues with how everything went down, honestly speaking. I discuss it frequently in therapy and at the end of every session, I tell myself "Today is the day!" And then, WHAM! NOPE. I hope that clears up the situation for the most part. Truth be told, the only reason I wrote this entry is because someone who has been around since the beginning asked why Infinite still says "COMING SOON!!!"
Who knows? It might say that forever. What I do know is everyone should be thankful for Infinite. How so? Because of everything that happened after it was written...
Truth is, without what happened all those years ago, I wouldn't have written Infinite and without Infinite, there wouldn't have been a short story surge and without that surge, there would be no Écrivain and without Écrivain, there would be no Z-Quips and without Z-Quips, there's a good chance Agents Of Chaos wouldn't even exist and without AOC, the world would have been deprived of Jan. Is that a world we want to exist in? I think not!
I just thought of one more: No AOC would mean no Emporium. Basically, if one really thinks on it, like every other artist who's greatest works are rooted in trauma, I benefited from that fuck shit more than I lost.
I owe my entire existence to Infinite, so even if it never makes it to the library, I am forever grateful for every syllable
